Enterprise Governance and Corporate Entrepreneurship

Unlocking the Promise of Education

Our Mission

The enterprise nationwide goal is to make significant the role of education in achieving sustainable social and economic development. We build on the knowledge and experience of executives, students and graduates to promote good enterprise governance and corporate entrepreneurship.

Enterprise executives work with national and international organisations to offer students and graduates access to experiencial learning. Students and graduates are best placed to understand the opportunities, challenges and uncertainties in the business context. You will gain product knowledge and enhance your customer service skills. Our business executive training and start-up incubation facilities transforms science, arts, commercial and technical education into an enterprise. The strategic intent is to create a platform that promotes best practice and workplace effectiveness.

We want to ensure individuals and institutions continue to see education as the foundation for sustainable economic development, a reliable road to success, and a trusted path to shared prosperity. Through our work-based approach, students and graduates will be able to study, practice, learn and earn. Learning in a real-world situation ensures graduates truly become what the curriculum seeks to achieve in them.

Gender Equality Impact

Offering skills training and start-up consulting for women and girls advancing in education. The strategic intent is to increase women and girls’ participation in corporate leadership. We strongly believe “when women and girls advance, the world succeeds”. Training with international volunteers and working in partnerhsip with enterprise and governance organisations, Women’s Action for Knowledge and Entrepreneurship (WAKE) offers scholarships for women and girls to advance in education almost cost free.

Agribusiness Value Chain

We work with students and graduates to develop agribusiness value chain services. Gaining experience in poultry farming and cassava processing does not guarantee scalability. At Enterprise we complement practical skills gained from our poultry and cassava processing facilities with corporate business executive skills, knowledge, and qualities for scalability.

IT Business Start-Ups

By combining business executive skills and information technology, Enterprise work with students and graduates to create IT business start-up ideas; students build on their education to develop new digital products and services across different sectors. There is great economic benefits to be derived from team work and open source innovation. We work with students and graduates to develop digital products for smart phone users who make up a huge segment of the global netizens’ market.

Climate Change Adaptation

We work with students and graduates to create a succession plan for the cultivation of drought resistant plants to achieve sustainable agriculture, food security and improved nutrition. The challenge posed by climate change on our value chain is underpinned by the need to find cost-saving ways to reduce environmental deterioration. To achieve this we build on business ethics, our social responsibility and corporate governance principles to develop sustainability strategies.
